For those of you who don't know, February 15 IS actually deamed singles awareness day. I did this comic for my newspaper after my girlfriends and I had a similar conversation to this.

Wow, they really deemed it as such? Who?

I mean, if it's a community that regards it as such or a group, then I don't really buy into it. But if there some actual authority behind it, then I think it's very cool.

I'm not single this year, but I recall from prior years just how infuriating this holiday is. I think you should just do yourself a favor and kick anyone who uses pet names as ridiculous as the ones in this comic in the nuts.

I always just thought of Feb. 15 as the second best candy shopping day of the year (following November 1st) but that works too :D
